Blood Types and Personality
In some countries there is an interesting belief that your blood type can greatly influence who you are, what you are like, and who you will become (much like the astrological signs in America.)
The principle difference in astrology and blood analysis is that astrology focuses on external factors - i.e. the planets, etc. - while blood analysis focuses on internal factors. Unlike astrology, which in depth can become complicated, blood type analysis is relatively simple. It makes no distinction between + or - blood. The idea is that the type of blood that flows throughout your body affects your emotions and thought patterns.
Looking from a purely scientific point of view, it is an interesting theory considering that we require blood to survive and when we lose blood - with the exception of some cases - we require our own exact blood type to get well.
It is important to note that while both of these personality determiners can seem to be close to accurate, neither has been scientifically proven. Below are the four different blood types and the most commonly associated personality stereotypes.
Type A : The Farmer
A Type people are calm, composed, serious, and level headed. They're meticulous with what they do and tend to make careful, long term plans deliberately. They tend to try and make themselves more like their own idea of what they should be. They have firm characters, are hard and methodical workers, and can be some what of perfectionists. They have realistic views of the world and like to observe social customs and formalities. They regard social order and rules as important and put strains on their action, emotions, and expressions in order to try and follow them. They can be honest, considerate, and nurturing. However, they can also be sneaky, hard to please, and finicky. They are slow to open up to people and value the relationships that they have. They don't seem to adapt well to new things and can be hard on people who are not of the same type temperament as they are.
Type B : The Hunter
B Type people are easygoing, unpredictable, creative types who prefer to do things at their own pace. They are curious although fickle with their interests - often enthusiastic about it one minute and onto something different the next. They can become so involved in things that they neglect their responsibilities. B types often dislike restriction and rules and couldn't care less about social regulations and customs. They can have a bit of a rebellious streak in them. They tend to excel rather than just being average and have the image of being bright, cheerful, and full of energy and enthusiasm. Some people feel they are really quite different on the inside. They seek out attention, because the often feel lonely, but they also don't want a lot of real contact with others.
Type AB : The Humanist
AB Type people are full of contradictions and can seem to have a duel personality in some cases. They are unpredictable and at times hard to get to know. They're efficient and good at rational thinking and problem solving; they make great analysts, critics, and lawyers. They are very aware of the world around them and seem to value reason more than emotions, but however, are considerate of and value the feelings and emotions of others and are careful in dealing with them. They can be very strict with both themselves and others - wanting to push towards the limits of possible achievement. They're sociable, intelligent, passionate, and at times over dramatic. They tend to think too deeply about things. They have lots of friends but can seem to be cold-hearted and aloof and often need to just be left alone. They have a short fuse and will quickly sink to fighting.
Type O : The Warrior
O Type people are natural leaders and diplomats. Their energetic and independent ways make them great at organizing activities. They are said to create the mood for a group and take on the role of peacemaker. They can tend to spend money on others generously. They're open minded, level-headed, and tolerant making them good at accepting things that are new. They can be easily influenced by others. They can be proud and controlling and dislike being subordinate to anyone. O Types are risk-takers with strong instincts of survival. When things get tough they take matters into their own hands. They appear to think clearly and be trustworthy but sometimes they'll slip up and make big mistakes. Though they are generally “loved by all”, they have a stubborn and strong-willed side and can be somewhat insecure and jealous.
