The Four Leaf Clover

Someone once told me the meaning of the leaves of a four-leaf clover. It’s part of the useless knowledge floating around inside my head. I felt like being silly. :)

The Four Leaf Clover

I searched the world all over
To find the perfect four-leaf clover.
Why? You may ask.
A rational person perform such a task?
Simple, can be my only reply,
You’re very foolish to even ask why.
A four-leaf clover has magic powers.
It’s true! Hidden there in a bed of flowers
Lies the greatest force since time began –
Greatly known to leprechauns – little known to man.
As a fact, previously stated,
All clovers are not equally created!
Three leaf clovers all mean the same thing.
They themselves have nothing to bring.
Extra special is the rare four-leaf clover –
So much so – I searched the world over.
So what is this magic I wanted so bad?
What is the magic I wish I had?
All the powers of a three leaf clover may come true,
But that four-leaf clover adds something new.
One leaf for the faith to find your way.
One leaf for hope and a brighter day.
One leaf for love with Cupid’s arrow well struck.
And to bring it all together – that fourth leaf for luck.
