Riddle 06

Far away, but always near.
When I'm sad, you're voice I hear.
Someone tell me you love me, send me a hug.
Take away my troubles – oh, one I love.
Everything comes as clear as a Bell.
Alone in my room, my secrets I'll tell.
I honestly hope we never may never part.
Push comes to shove - you're close to my heart.
Amuse me. Annoy me. Confuse me.
But life without you would be the end of me.

Answer:

A phone.

“Far away” and “alone” refer to a physical distance. “Secrets I’ll tell” and “always near” brings some thing closer. You can't tell secrets without someone to listen. “Voice I hear” can refer to who ever is on the other line or to the ring of the phone itself. “Take away my troubles“ is a reference to human nature to use the phone when we need to just hear a kind word or have support from the people we love and care for but can’t be physically there. It could also mean how much we love our phones. We tend to love our phones without realizing that we do. We take them for granted. “Bell” is a reference to Alexander Bell – the inventor of the telephone. “Amuse me. Annoy me. Confuse me.”are three things a phone does well. It amuses us to talk to friends. It annoys us when telemarketers call. Confuses us when it rings and we can't find where we put it. ^^;
